The Calgary Pride Kickoff may have happened on August 27 last year, but stories continue to come about people’s experiences during the event. It was a monumental day for the community. Plus, it signifies the many more Pride-related events and activities in the days, months, and years to come.

The first event was open to the public. It was kid-friendly and included activities, such as crafts and entertainment. It also had food trucks, so everybody had a blast, and no one got hungry.

It’s an occasion worth repeating. And when it happens, be sure to come! The first one had a film showing that people of all ages and genders enjoyed. 

We’re now planning the next events and activities to be lined up to match or outdo the first one. Aside from the activities, this is an excellent way to promote the community. 

Additionally, it promotes harmony for everybody who graced the event. It’s a nice way of meeting people, talking to them, and gaining friends in the process. It’s also a way to relieve stress while having fun and loads of laughter.
