Buckle your belts with the newest series in the country, which may soon be making noise around the world. Presenting CANADA’S DRAG RACE: CANADA VS. THE WORLD, an exciting Crave Original series that started November 18th.
Joining Traci Melchor, Brad Goreski, and Brooke Lynn Hytes as the regular panel of judges are special guests to make the series more juicy and exciting.
None other than Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has already graced his presence as a guest. This has never been done before by a world leader in a franchise of the Drag Race series.
Before its premiere, fans were treated to a much-anticipated trailer. It highlighted the glitz and sizzles, all unfolding in the series premiere. Furthermore, guest judges for the season added hype to this fun series. They are:
- Sarain Fox – a filmmaker, broadcaster, and activist
- Priyanka – a music artist with numerous international hit singles and the Season 1 champion of Canada’s Drag Race
- Monét X Change – winner of Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and runner-up in Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars
- Joe Zee – a veteran of the fashion world as well as a TV producer and host
- Jeanne Beker – a journalist, icon, and fashion expert
- Hollywood Jade – resident choreographer for Canada’s Drag Race
- Gary Janetti – author, producer, and Emmy-nominated writer
- Anjulie – producer, singer-songwriter with platinum awards, recipient of the Indo-Guyanese JUNO Award
In every episode of the series, each queen competes for herself. The queens’ skills are tested in lip-sync fights, maxi challenges, and mini-challenges, where one queen can eliminate another opponent until a winner is declared.
The queens emphasize the value of honoring everyone’s charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent throughout this journey by sharing their own problems and triumphs.
Nine international drag queens, including Victoria Scone, Vanity Milan, Stephanie Prince, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Rita Baga, Ra’Jah O’Hara, Kendall Gender, Icesis Couture, and Anita Wigl’it are now competing for the title.
To make things more exciting, MADE l NOUS and Neutrogena have joined as the show’s first brand partners. Innovative sponsorship strategies are used throughout the season to effectively incorporate the brands across SVOD, digital, and social channels.
